A CC company makes it's money on the annual fee and the percentage rate they charge you on these short term loans. Why would a CC company get rid of it's major income stream? Reducing my interest rate to 0, would cut off a huge income source. Even if you only pay a couple dollars a month in interest charges, multiple that by the millions of people who have these cards.
