"Sandy (8476893876) from Vehicle Services called me on my work phone. A phone I know is not tied to any of the information with my car. Regardless of this, Sandy was desperate to get in touch with me. They have tried multiple times by mail already. (WTF?) Sandy is very worried about my Vehicle warranty and if some major repairs are needed I will not be covered."
A couple things: Sandy was very insistent. Very pushy in her robo delivery. Usually a first sign for me. The lure is hitting you with the "FOMO reflex" and the "OMG What If?" scenario lures.
Another sign, is I use a specific phone number for all auto related things. Basically, not my desk phone at work.
As always, if you don't know the number, probably best to not answer it. If it is really important someone will probably leave a message.
If you absolutely have to answer the phone because you are waiting for a call, then keep a watch out for those pesky robocalls.
